Muzzle Brake
Muzzle brakes reduce felt recoil. They work by redirecting expanding gas exiting the barrel laterally, which uses the gas pressure to counter the rifle's rearward push instead of letting that energy become recoil. AR muzzle brakes are common for taming recoil on 5.56 builds and essential on heavier calibers like .308 and .338. Flash Hiders
