How to Build Your SBR

Once you’ve mixed and matched your preferred upper and lower to customize your SBR, Silencer Shop will take over to assist with the Form 1.

• Keep an eye out for your DocuSign to review your form 1 information and to verify the engravings on your firearm.
• Your lower receiver will be engraved with your Name (or Trust Name) City and State, then sent to your Powered by Silencer Shop dealer.
• You can pick up the lower from your dealer, it is not yet an NFA item. Once it is transferred to you, login to the Silencer Shop dashboard and select “I HAVE MY LOWER”.
• Your eForm 1 will be prepped for certification, and you will receive a “Ready to Certify” email.
• Certification can be done remotely, from your computer or smartphone.
• Once your eForm 1 is approved, login to the dashboard and select “My Form 1 is Approved!”
• Your lower is now a short barreled rifle, and we will ship the upper receiver to your home address.

Form 1 SBR Guide

With Silencer Shop’s ATF eForm 1 service, completing your SBR eForm 1 is easy.

• Login to your Silencer Shop account: If you don’t have one already you can quickly create one by selecting “LOGIN” then “Don't have an account? Sign up”. Verify that all of your information is correct, including your full legal name, trust name, and address. Triplecheck this info as this will be used for your Form 1 engraving.
• Once your information is input: A member of our compliance team reviews your application packet and checks it for accuracy (Silencer Shop compliance has a 99.5% accuracy rate compared to the industry average of 60%).
• Upon a successful compliance review: Your eForm 1 will be prepped for submission. You will get an email from DocuSign, verify the info is correct and sign it. Then just keep an eye out for an email informing you that your eForm1 is ready to certify.
• Silencer Shop engraves your lower: Engraving is done in-house with a precision laser to ensure accuracy, upon completion the engraved lower receiver is shipped to your selected Powered by Silencer Shop dealer.
  • Get ready to certify: Once your dealer receives the engraved lower you will be notified, go ahead and complete your transfer (fill out a Form 4473 and complete a NICS background check if applicable). Once you’ve picked up your lower receiver login to your Silencer Shop profile and select “I Have Received My Lower Receiver”. Your Form 1 will be prepped for submission. 
    Note: You must be in possession of the lower receiver before you can submit the eForm 1.
  • You will get a “Ready to Certify” email: login to your Silencer Shop profile to certify your eForm 1 using the Full Auto Pro software.
  • After your eForm 1 is approved: Login and select “My Form 1 is Approved!” Congrats, your lower is officially an SBR and your upper receiver will be shipped right to your door!
  • Hit the range: Your custom Daniel Defense AR15 SBR is ready to rock, these completed receivers have everything you need to start shooting, down to a magazine and a hard sided carrying case.
