SilencerCo ASR Muzzle Brake Details
The SilencerCo ASR Muzzle Brake serves two functions on one device: it tames recoil and muzzle rise when you're running unsuppressed, and it acts as the quick-detach mount interface when you're ready to thread a SilencerCo ASR-equipped suppressor on top. One muzzle device, two roles, no compromise on either.
Pick the right brake by matching two things: caliber (the brake bore) and thread pitch (matches your barrel).
Features & Benefits
- Dual-purpose muzzle device — recoil control unsuppressed, QD interface for ASR-mount suppressors
- Available in 11 thread pitches across 5.56, .30 cal, .338, .45, and large-bore options
- Compatible with Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie ASR mounts
- Heat-treated steel construction with corrosion-resistant finish
- Ships with precision shim set for proper timing
- Compatible host suppressors: Saker ASR 556, Saker ASR 556K, Saker ASR 762, Omega 300, Omega 36M, Chimera 300, Hybrid 46, Hybrid 46M, Harvester Big Bore (mount tier varies — see compatibility section below)
The ASR Mount System: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie
Alpha ASR — sub-caliber pistol cans (Omega 9K, Omega 45K).
Bravo ASR — original ASR rifle cans (Omega 300, Hybrid 46). Also HUB-compatible via separate Bravo Direct Thread Mount.
Charlie ASR — current-generation rifle and modular cans (Saker ASR 556 / 556K / 762, Chimera 300, Omega 36M, Hybrid 46M).
Caliber and Thread Pitch
The bore of the brake has to match your caliber. The thread pitch has to match your barrel. Common configurations:
- 5.56 NATO — 1/2x28
- .30 cal (.308, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm ARC, 6.5 Grendel, 7.62x39, .300 BLK, etc.) — 5/8x24
- .338 — 5/8x24 or 3/4x24
- .45 — 5/8x24 LH
11 total thread pitches across the caliber range. Match the variant to your build.
Installation and Timing
The brake ships with a precision shim set for timing alignment. Torque to spec, time the brake so the porting orientation matches your shooting position (most users prefer top ports off-axis for muzzle rise control), and you're ready to mount the suppressor. The QD interface uses a ratcheting cam-lock mechanism — twist the suppressor on, rotate to lock, no extra tools required.
