CAT RDM MODELS ARE A LIMITED PRODUCTION RUN
The CAT Restricted Development Models (RDM) are limited production suppressors created as part of CAT’s internal research and development program. Originally designed for advanced testing and evaluation, these models were not intended for standard production and will not be re-released. Each RDM unit represents a finite manufacturing run, making it a unique collector’s or performance-grade option for qualified users.
Constructed with reinforced wall thickness and enhanced internal geometry, RDM suppressors are engineered for increased thermal capacity and structural strength. Depending on the variant, these models may include an additional 1–5 oz of mass compared to standard designs. This allows for improved heat absorption and durability during extended or high-volume firing sessions.
RDM suppressors maintain CAT’s characteristic performance standards for sound suppression, flash reduction, and gas management. Designed and produced in limited numbers, they reflect CAT’s approach to precision manufacturing and controlled experimental development.
Key Features
- Limited-production, finite production models developed from CAT’s R&D program
- Increased wall thickness and mass (1–5 oz additional weight depending on model)
- Higher thermal capacity for sustained use and heat management
- Engineered for durability and performance under extended firing conditions
- Incorporates CAT’s design standards for flash, blast, and gas reduction
- Collector-grade or test-program variant; not part of standard production line
- Manufactured to the same precision and material standards as CAT production models
