The B&T APC223/556 SBR (Short-Barreled Rifle) utilizes a piston operating system optimized for suppressor use and regulated via an adjustable gas valve. Easily tuned as weapon fouling increases due to heavy firing schedules or prolonged use with a suppressor, this model, chambered in 5.56 NATO, employs a hydraulic buffer system that reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise, enhances intermediate barrier penetration, and increases terminal performance.
