Liberty Mystic X

The Mystic X was born from a need: the need for a “Swiss army knife” of silencers, so to speak, for first time suppressor buyers. The first time buyer is literally overwhelmed with the amount of intel that is currently available. Due to this problem, we feel that the first time buyer needs a choice that will allow them to “dip” their toe into NFA and be able to have the most versatile suppressor available at the same time. Armed with this idea, we took one of our most popular suppressors, one that has already been adopted by many first time buyers, and improved on it. The Mystic X is the ultimate first time owner’s silencer!

Made entirely from Titanium and Stainless Steel and coated with type “C” high temp Cerakote this suppressor weighs in at a paltry 10.5 ounces and only 13.9 ounces with a recoil booster installed in it. This suppressor can be “dipped”, ultrasonically cleaned, sand blasted, or soaked in harsh solvents without fear of damage to the unit.

Did I mention that it is also full auto rated? Well it is!!! It is rated for seven different calibers in full auto and 53 calibers in semi auto giving the T/C guys as well as hunters and target shooters a large host of options.

We have developed a series of mounting solutions for the Mystic X to include several booster options as well as many variations in fixed barrel mounting solutions as well. All of the mounts are available in black now as well.

Designed with Dual Arc Baffle technology, the Mystic X is incredibly quiet for a centerfire monolithic core suppressor. Although the real treat is the Mystic X performs really well on so many centerfire rifle and handgun calibers. The 7.62 x 39 and the 300 BLK are prime examples of this. Not only in subsonic, but many rifle calibers are also rated for supersonic speeds as well. 38 Special, 357 Magnum, 357 Maximum or 9×25 Dillon? No problem! The Mystic X loves all these rounds and many more! Being takedown in design, this suppressor is a favorite of people using cast lead bullets. It is well known that lead buildup in the 9mm and 22LR suppressors is a reality and the Mystic X is perfectly suited for this application.

Works well on all of my platforms, but did make my M&P 22 a little nose heavy. No issues with the M&P 9.. I think the 22 is just too light at the back end. Worked very nice on a colt M4-22 with the FBA as well as my 5.56 and 7.62 platforms. I need to find the right cover for it's length with both the FBA and the piston as the one I have is too short and this unit does get hot after extended use on a bump fire platform.

Although this can is rated for many calibers and I have all the adapters and pistons, I pretty much leave it Loc-tited to a Sig P226 Navy with high suppressor tritium sights, 21 round mags with subs and a Crimson Trace green laser/light combo. It looks a little long but because of the light weight it handles just fine on the full sized Sig and I can get very fast follow up shots... faster than I can without the suppressor. One of the range officers came by once and got on my case because I was shooting without the "mandatory" hearing protection. I asked him to take his ears off and gave him the unit with a full mag of 147's. He cringed a bit before the first shot and all he said after a few was "damn that's quiet". I asked him to finish up the mag while I walked away to listen to my own setup. I think at about 20 yards all I could hear was the action cycling and the rounds smacking into dirt or steel... Someday I'll actually get around to using all the adapters I have and try it on other guns but then again maybe I'll just buy another Mystix X or a Cosmic... or both...
By the way, Veridian green laser/light combos completely suck at about 18 degrees Fahrenheit or below... they simply stop functioning after about 15-20 minutes of cold while my Crimson Trace units, including the new LinQ system work after being in the truck all night at -31 below 0.

This is a very well designed suppressor, everything is very precisely and beautifully machined. As a 9mm suppressor, it performs very well... If you shoot subsonic ammunition through it, it will take your breath away. If you pour in a half-cup of water, it sounds like a 22, AMAZING. Being a monocore, it does have a little bit of first-round-pop, but it's really not a big deal. I also tried it on my 300 blackout SBR, and it performed great. Just as quiet as my 762 phantom, with less blowback. Awesome.

The only downside to this product are the (not-included) accessories. They are expensive, and not that great. For example, every time I shoot my glock 17, the booster tightens itself to the can (which is fine). BUT, the booster does not have wrench slots like the fixed mount does. I have to use a rag and a crescent wrench to get it off.

They also sell a ring wrench that you NEED (why isn't it included?) to get off the retaining ring. It would be wonderful if the wrench worked with the booster too, but for some reason it doesn't.

Despite its quirks, I still highly recommend this suppressor to everyone. Liberty should release new revisions for all of their accessories, so that all can be loosened or tightened with one wrench or tool. If that were to happen, the Mystic X would be perfection.

I decided to buy one of these after watching all the videos on youtube praising this suppressor because of its versatility and strength. I will say that those things are true. I love mine--it is a very handy suppressor to have. I use it a lot of times to put on my friends' guns when we go rabbit hunting so I don't have to hear loud noises next to me. It works so well and is so handy that my cousin, who is also on my trust, had me buy another. So now we have two of them, and we use the crap out of both of them. The mystic x is not quite as quiet as a dedicated 30 cal suppressor, but does quite well. I have a video on youtube where I shoot subsonic 300 blk in this suppressor as well as 3 other 30 cal suppressors. The mystic X does quite well. If I were doing it all over again, this would be my first suppressor purchase.

Such a great hybrid can! Has to be one of the best on the market and for the price, the quality you get is wonderful! Sounds great on my Ruger ranch 300 blackout, 6.5 Grendel, HK VP9, and AA .556. Really has a good lower pitched pop on my 9 and 300 with subs and the first round pop is very minimal. The guys at Aklys Defense (Thanks Vanessa, Joe, Dennis, Zack and Dave for all the time and help) were easy to work with and showed me how nice and simple the silencershop has made it to buy a can now! Would recommend this can and this service to anyone!

Geat suppressor, and better costumer service. The can works great and is easy to clean. Works great on my 24" Rockriver prairie dog gun. After shooting it for about a month I noticed had a baffle strike on the end of it. This didn't affect the noise deduction with a 9mm but I called Liberty just to see what they would say. They said to send it back with my barrels and mounts. About 2 weeks later I got a brand new mystic x shipped to me for free. The didn't find a problem, but it was probably from me shooting cheap plated reloaded bullets that were keyholing.

So far I am very impressed with the mystic x. Easy smooth purchase from Silencer Shop, nice quality unit with good fit and finish. I like the variety of mounts, fixed, qd, boosters, tri lug etc., so far I have tried it on a sig p228 with a booster and it worked great, just remember to lube the booster. Also tried some 300 blackout with great results. A bit long with the booster but it is very light. There are likely better (shorter, lighter, maybe quieter) pistol supressors but for a doall unit that handles 9mm, 223, and 300blk equally well this supressor rocks!

Lets start with the pros. This is a great first can as it is rated for 53 calibers and counting. It gives you the opportunity to try out on several different hosts before deciding to buy caliber specific cans. My wife and I first put the Mystic X on her 22/45 lite and this thing made it silent I then proceeded to put it on one of my AR-15's and it makes it sound like you're wearing ear plugs. I had read a lot of bad comments on suppressing a Tavor because you get a lot of blowback due to the bull pup design and I have to say I didn't experience any blowback with this can on my Tavor (maybe this is because the bore diameter is for a 9mm so more gasses escape?) The only negative I have is 22 pistols are very lightweight and this can makes them feel a bit nose heavy but it feels right at home on 9mm pistols and my rifles!
