LMT New Zealand Reference Rifle

The LMT New Zealand Reference Rifle is a semi-automatic 5.56×45mm platform configured to reflect the general specifications of the New Zealand MARS-L service rifle. Built around LMT’s Monolithic Rail Platform (MRP), the upper receiver is machined from a single aluminum forging and features a continuous 16.25" Picatinny top rail with quad-rail interfaces at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. The system is designed to allow barrel changes with minimal shift in point of impact when properly installed.

This configuration includes the MARS-L Lower Receiver with fully ambidextrous controls, a two-stage trigger, enhanced trigger guard, and QD receiver end plate. Additional components include metric flip-up sights, a SureFire WarComp flash hider, SOPMOD stock, ambidextrous charging handle, and standard direct impingement operating system.
