The LMT MWS 14.5" MRGG-A Reference Rifle is a 6.5 Creedmoor short‑barreled rifle (SBR) built on the LMT Modular Weapon System (MWS) platform. The rifle features a monolithic upper receiver machined from a single piece of 7075‑T6 aluminum, providing a continuous Picatinny top rail and compatibility with the LMT quick‑change barrel system. The receiver includes a forward assist and uses LMT’s dual cross‑bolt barrel retention system, allowing compatible MWS barrels to be installed or removed on the platform.

This rifle is equipped with the LMT MARS‑H ambidextrous lower receiver, which includes ambidextrous controls for the safety selector, magazine release, and bolt catch/release. The configuration includes a 14.5‑inch stainless steel 6.5 Creedmoor barrel with a 1:8 twist rate, a full‑auto profile bolt carrier group with forward assist notches, and a dual‑ejector bolt. Additional components include the AXLE two‑stage trigger, ambidextrous charging handle, and a midlength gas system with an LMT gas block and straight gas tube. This model is produced as a factory short‑barreled rifle and is subject to applicable NFA regulations.
