PLEASE READ for those filing a tax-exempt (brace) Form 1:

Many are predicting a surge of Form 1 filings in the final days before the May 31 deadline that could result in ATF’s eForms system experiencing slowdowns or unavailability. To help us get every brace Form 1 submitted by the deadline, we’re asking you to please do 3 things to get ahead of the rush:

1. Send us all your information AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

• Visit a kiosk and create your Silencer Shop account (if you haven’t already)
• Upload your photo through our App or to photos@silencershop.com
• Click “Start New Form 1” on the ATF eForm 1 tab of your Silencer Shop Dashboard

                                    Enter your firearm details and include a close-up photo of your serial number and other engravings, then click “Save”

                                    Click “Place Form 1 Order” next to the firearm profile you just created

2. Create an eForms account (you’ll need this for Step 3, to certify)

• Visit eforms.atf.gov
• Use the exact same email, full legal name, and address that you used for your Silencer Shop account

3. Certify your eForm 1 no later than MAY 28

• ATF’s eForms system may become overwhelmed as we approach the deadline—we strongly encourage you to certify and submit your form no later than May 28
• Be on the lookout for an email saying “Important – Action Required – Certify eForm 1 Submission”
• Follow the instructions listed under “Next Steps” in that email to certify your Form 1
