B&T Print-XH RBS 5.56 Details
The B&T PRINT-XH RBS is the full size version of B&T's 3D printed 5.56 suppressor, built to cut backpressure instead of dumping gas back at the shooter. RBS stands for Reduced Back Pressure System, and on hard-running 5.56 hosts it means cleaner cycling, less fouling on the bolt, and less gas in your face. The weld-free body pairs aerospace-grade titanium with 718 Inconel inserts where the blast hits hardest; the hybrid design holds up to duty-grade round counts without the weight penalty.
Features & Benefits
- Weld-free 3D printed construction eliminates the failure points of welded cans
- Titanium body with 718 Inconel inserts survives SOCOM-level endurance testing (22,000+ round cycles)
- Reduced Back Pressure System cuts blowback for smoother cycling on short-barreled 5.56 rifles
- HUB-compatible 1.375x24 rear accepts industry-standard mounts; 1/2x28 direct thread mount included
- Flash and spark reduction keeps signature down when the light gets low

Frequently Asked Questions
What does RBS mean?
RBS stands for Reduced Backpressure System, B&T's design for managing gas flow in a suppressed rifle. It limits bolt speed increase to less than 2% on M4-style platforms, which reduces gas blowback toward the shooter, prevents excessive wear on key components, and helps short-barreled rifles run reliably suppressed.
What is the difference between the PRINT-XH RBS and the RBS SC?
The SC is the subcompact version. The full-size Print-XH RBS measures 7.1 in. and weighs 10.5 oz, while the Print-XH RBS SC measures 5 in. and weighs about 8.6 oz. Both use a 3D printed titanium body with a 718 Inconel blast baffle, B&T's Reduced Backpressure System, a low-flash endcap, and a HUB rear. The full-size model offers slightly more sound suppression, while the SC keeps your rifle as short and light as possible.
What mounts does the HUB rear accept?
The Print-XH RBS uses the industry-standard HUB 1.375x24 rear interface, so it works with any HUB-compatible mount. Depending on the configuration, it ships with a B&T Rotex-SF HUB adapter compatible with SureFire-style mounts, a RAID Taper Mount, or a 1/2x28 direct thread mount, and you can switch to other direct thread or QD systems through HUB adapters.
Is it full-auto rated?
Yes. Both the Print-XH RBS and the RBS SC are full-auto rated with no barrel length restrictions. B&T reports SOCOM burn-down testing exceeding 22,000 rounds during final validation.
