Sig Sauer SRD762Ti QD

When Sig Sauer Silencers released their SRD-series rifle suppressors, they definitely caught our attention!

Sig SRD Silencer ComparisonUnlike previous suppressors from Sig, the SRD models are some of the most accurate and best performing suppressors on the market - due to multiple innovative design concepts that Sig is pioneering.

The single-tube design allows for additional internal volume; while maintaining, or exceeding, the strength of traditional 2-tube designs.  As a direct result of the additional volume, the SRD suppressors are some of the quietest suppressors we've used - while having exceptionally low blow-back in semi-automatic weapons!

Sig has a reputation for precision manufacturing - and that experience has allowed them to use very tight tolerances, which equate directly to increased accuracy and reduced Point Of Impact shift

If there is damage to the front of the suppressor, or any of the internal baffles, the SRD can be easily repaired because the rear section is the only serialized partTake a look at this photo of an SRD suppressor, in the middle, compared to traditional suppressor designs:

  1. Porting allows the SRD suppressors to efficiently use the internal volume - which directly equates to a quieter design

  2. The single tube design is lighter, quieter, and just as strong - by using Sig's precision welding

After shooting the SRD series suppressors, I think it should be on the comparison list for anybody looking at a new rifle suppressor.

Additional Commentary

The SRD762Ti QD is a Titanium alloy based silencer that use QD (Quick Disconnect) muzzle devices to attach the silencer to the rifle. Titanium alloy silencers provide light weight with the highest level of durability.

The 7.62mm QD muzzle device system is available in 5/8”-24tpi threads match the vast majority of modern sporting rifles in .308/7.62mm on the market today. The rear mount has wrench flats to torque the silencer to the barrel. There is a secondary retention latch that is depressed to remove the silencer from the QD mount.

The SRD762Ti QD is rated up too 300 Win Mag and any other rifle cartridges that are of equal or less projectile diameter, pressure and case capacity. Examples of this would be .204 Ruger, .223/5.56x45mm, 5.45x39mm, 7.62x35 (300 Blackout) 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.8 Spc, .260 Remington and other cartridges. The SRD762Ti QD comes with one 5/8”-24tpi "Taper-Lok" Muzzle Brake.

This was my first suppressor purchase, and I am extremely satisfied. I used it on my 16 inch ar15 chambered in 223 (so far), and it's pleasant to shoot without hearing protection. Wouldn't want to shoot all day like that, but even still, after a full mag dump, only very very slight amount of discomfort. Doesn't have an unpleasant tone like I have heard with other suppressors, but sounds good!
I would recommend this suppressor all day long, lightweight, low back pressure, even with an AR platform. The QD attachment is fast, secure, and with lots of thread pitches available for the muzzle device, you can put this on many different rifles.

This is one supper quiet 30cal suppressor. With Subsonic 300BLK ammo this can sounds like a very well suppressed 22LR. My rifle is now so much noisier than the ammo. Even with hot load 308 supersonic ammo on a 20" POF rifle this can is quiet at my ears and I now hear the rifle, the sonic crack and target impact. Amazing suppressor - with neither of my 3 rifles I use it on, showing negligible or any point of impact change at 100yds. This suppressor is worth the money, quick & easy on/off, no impact change, super quiet, what more do I want? Well, another one for my 338LaPua now! I highly recommend this suppressor for anyone wanting to shoot 30cal suppressed and use it on several rifles including 5.56. You will hate the sound your rifle makes - that you were never aware of before!

I have shot several different QD silencers this year through my 16" 300 Blackout. The Sig SRDti-QD silencer is the best 300 Blackout silencer on the market. The QD muzzle brake is short, light weight, and can be timed with a level. The silencer goes on and off easily and does not move. You can shoot many magazines through this gun super or subsonic and be perfectly hearing safe. This can does not leave my ears ringing. The larger diameter of the baffles lets the gases expand further, slowdown, and cool more than any 1.5" diameter can. I can hear the round strike a paper and cardboard target at a 100 yards even with super sonic ammunition.
This is the perfect silencer to put on any rifle for 300 blackout and you can leave your hearing protection at home. I did mag dumps with supersonic and subsonic ammo and did not receive gas in the face like with other cans. I have a large gas port on my rifle and so you can remove a small gas port from the equation for a reason it doesn't gas me out.
The tone of the shot is rich and pleasant to the ears. I will have a full review on www.300blktalk.com I am an Industry professional and I hunt with DRT Ammo's Terminal Shock bullet. It is very quiet, accurate, clean burning powder, and light recoiling. If you are going to invest in a can you can use on all of your rifles to hunt, train, enjoy time with your family, or a day shooting then this is the silencer you can't go wrong buying.

I was disappointed that when I ordered the suppressor I was able to specify that I wanted the 5.56 thread compatible QD break but when I received the suppressor it came with the 7.62 thread size break (there was another review I saw recently that said the same thing but its gone now). I did call SS and they said (rudely actually) that I can mail the break back and it would be exchanged but nonetheless it was frustrating to be delayed in using it that much longer. I would clarify this before ordering. That said the ordering process was easy and I still respect the company very much. The can looks to be high quality and the review of its functioning is coming soon...

I also purchased srd762ti-qd as my first suppressor. I trust SIG to make a quality product. I was not disappointed. It is great with 300blk subs, but I mostly shoot .223 supersonics from 7.5 inch barrel. It really tames it down. I was worried about buying a suppressor that performed poorly. If anyone is considering this one, I would highly recommend. I don't trust claims of other manufacturers that won't post video proof of db reduction. Thanks to silencershop for vids. I wanted quality from reputable company that will be around for service if that day ever was needed, and couldn't be happier. Only 1 downside is the width, it won't fit under most handguards if that is your goal, which I had wanted, but I wouldn't trade its specs to sacrifice performance.

This is my first suppressor purchase, so I can't compare this suppressor to any others apples-to-apples. I can say, however, that I am extremely pleased with its performance in all areas.

First, the SRD762 locks up extremely well. The mini brake assembly was simple to install and centered the suppressor perfectly. After twisting it on and firing 30 rounds or so, it hasn't budged a bit.

Using the 208 gr AMAX subsonics was pretty great. I'd compare the noise level to a loud clap. We could easily hear the round thud into the backstop 50 yards away.

It got fairly hot after just a few rounds at a time, but I guess that's normal. I don't do mag dumps, but even if I did I can't imagine it would bother the suppressor too much.

Silencer Shop was great to deal with throughout the entire process. The hardest part was trying to stay patient waiting for the stamp!
